I am a designer living in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.
I love to work with type and information, and I also explore illustration in my projects. I want to work and collaborate with people because I feel that I learn something new from everyone I work with. As a designer, I interpret the content and needs of each project to determine how it should look in order to be successful and functional. For me the ideal design is honest and transparent, and though I have my own distinct design style, interpreting the content of the project my priority.
I completed my Bachelor of Design degree with Distinction at the University of Alberta in August, 2014. I am becoming more involved with the Edmonton creative community, attending more talks, shows, and the Ground Floor Student Day of the 2014 Pica Conference in order to continue growing as a designer. I also worked as the Volunteer Coodination for the Bachelor of Design Grad Show Committee at the University of Alberta to arrange volunteers for events and track volunteer hours for the graduating class.
Currently, I am freelancing for local organizations including the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region, and Goodwill Industries Alberta, and I work full-time as a graphic designer for the University of Alberta Students' Union.
When I'm not designing, I am drinking tea or coffee in all possible forms, cooking, bookbinding, or reading.
